Back to School DriveWe are Partnering with Blaze Church to put together 59 teacher kits so we can bless every teacher at Phillips Elementary School at the start of a new school year! HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED? Purchase items off of the registry. Drop off items at Blaze church building (50 Bell Ave. Flanders) during the week, or at one of Blaze Church Sunday services at The Moose Lodge (51 Madison St. Riverhead). Be sure to use Blaze Church's “what to buy” list. Sign-up to help us put together kits. $50 GIFT CARDS FOR EVERY KIT We want to make sure every teacher receives a $50 gift card to Walmart in their kit, so they can purchase needed supplies throughout the school year. You can purchase these gift cards off of our registry, or you can give and we will purchase them. MONDAY, AUGUST 29TH We will be putting together all the kits on Monday, August 29th at 11AM. Be sure to sign-up.
For well over a decade, FRNCA has organized a Back to School Drive with local partner organizations because FRNCA is committed to ensuring that every child in our community is going to start off successfully. Since beginning its school supply program, the drive has provided more than 1,200 supply-filled backpacks to K-4 children. Because of Covid-19, FRNCA has been forced to cancel its fundraising events. As you can imagine, this year presents special challenges and we anticipate needs beyond the “traditional” back-to-school period. Therefore, we are working on alternative funding for our kids.
